House living

Well, we're still here! 8 months on and we have not yet gotten back into the motorhome. Things are moving very slowly but they are still moving - just. The thing about living in a house is that you get almost institutionalised. You get up, go to work, come home, eat, shower, chill for a couple of hours then go to bed. I don't remember doing this in the motorhome.

We are still trying to sell most of our vehicles but have not really put a huge amount of effort in. Tomorrow, this is going to change and the hard graft begins. The reason for this? Warmer weather! Now that the sun is finally starting to appear again after what seems like months of cold, we are realising what we are missing.

On the positive front, we have bought a smart car - we are now the proud owners of Fudley, who will become our toad when we get our new van. I don't know why we didn't do this sooner, he is great. Only costs £15 to fill the tank and he goes all week for that :) He is a nippy wee runaround and there is plenty of room in the back for the pooches - although I feel that they are feeling a little slighted at not having a roomy backseat to sprawl on as they did when being chauffered in our old car.

We are off to the storage lot tomorrow to spring clean the motorhome, recharge the batteries and then will nip over to the dealers to book it in for the required repairs. Apparently there is at least a 2 month waiting list but if we do it now then we will be on countdown for selling.

Whoop whoop ... finally ... things are going to be happening! :)

Shockingly busy!

Ok, i've been slack about posting but I do have several reasons for being absent for the last month or so.

1 we've moved into a house
2 we've stored the van
3 we've collected 2/3rds of our possessions from various locations
4 we've started ebaying junk
5 mam and dad are 6 days away from moving and the house is nearly packed
6 work has been hectic

If you say all of these quickly it doesn't sound much but try living through it!

I promise to come back soon and update all. However, just wanted to say, we are still going back to a motorhome. After 6 weeks (ish) in a house, we are more sure than ever that that house living is just not for us yet. It is a stop gap on the way to a bigger motorhome although I am about to start a veg patch while I have the chance! ha ha.

Back soon! :)
